With the price of Airport Express, you can buy a new mid price speaker dock for your IPad

Finally I’ve bought an Airport Express, and this is what I think about this wifi hotspot after have been using it for a while, I’ve experience frequent of signal drops, and this make me very upset with an Airplay technology. In term of audio quality, compared to CD player, it is a noticeable of quality drop but I can have a plenty of choice in return, and I love how easy I can use the new IPad as a remote to control my iTunes in my Mac Mini that streams music to Airport Express then to my integrated amplifier, it is a real treat, compare with my old Yamaha dock that I have to use a remote control with one line text to read and navigate, this is a better solution, but an audio quality from IPod dock to amplifier is still noticeable better.

So should you buy it ? in my opinion, if you are looking for a convenient way to connect your Mac music library with your stereo system and use it for your work time, I think it is ok, but not get your hope too high for a sound quality (I’ve found myself rarely use a CD player since I had this device).
